OUR FOUNDER

Tracy LaFlamme Ortega is the founder and chief executive officer of PREPWORKS. A graduate of Phillips Academy Andover and Vanderbilt University, Tracy’s believes that her own academic experiences instilled in her a great appreciation for learning – a quality that she enjoys to fulfill and share.

Originally from Massachusetts, Tracy moved to Miami twenty years ago and began her formal career in education as an English Literature teacher. As standardized tests gained a new level of importance in the college admissions process, Tracy believed that the most widely accepted strategies did not address the demands of the current trends. After analyzing hundreds of standardized tests, ranging from secondary school admissions tests to college and graduate school exams, she developed a synergistic approach that today is the foundation of the PREPWORKS methodology.

In 2005, Tracy embraced the roles of both instructor and entrepreneur and created a goal-oriented, systematic approach to standardized test preparation and academic achievement. Students told their classmates and parents told their friends, resulting in word-of mouth success stories that turned out an exceptional number of students. Soon PREPWORKS was created to empower students to realize and achieve their personal academic bests. In the past five years, PREPWORKS has helped thousands of students achieve their goals.

About Josh:
Josh Malina is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.  While attending school he was a philosophy major and an avid mountain biker. His near perfect ACT score combined with perfect fives on AP Macroeconomics, AP Calculus, and AP Psychology have helped earn Josh his place at PREPWORKS. Josh enjoys bowling, basketball and hummus. He is a native of North Miami, and the coolest place he's ever visited is the Amazon Rain Forest. Josh’s quick-minded nature and witty personality make him a perfect fit to help many PREPWORKS students achieve extraordinary results.
